My Moroccan culture –through costume- is (dis)placed into a Moroccan, Australian and Finnish environment –that has a personal connection- visually telling my herstory through performative photographic portraits.

Dually disrupting the notion of being embedded in a singular culture and the medium of portraiture -by covering my face- this work challenges existing social norms of Arab femininity, what it is to be a Finn and Australian celebrating plurality.
